Doha: Food inspectors from Ministry of Municipality and Environment seized a large quantity of expired goods from a restaurant in The Pearl-Qatar.
Doha Municipality inspectors found 350kg expired food stuff, hidden in a secret warehouse inside the restaurant.
The expired food items were stored in difficult to access places inside the restaurant and was used in the preparation of meals and drinks for customers. The seized items include flavorings, concentrates, juices, salad dressings, meat dressings, mix of blue cheese sauce.
After detecting the violation, it has been communicated to security authorities and the restaurant and its manager were charged for the offence.
The case is send to the public prosecutor for further action.
