Qatar University (QU) yesterday held a seminar to outline the activities and awards of the Qatar University (QU) Annual Research Forum & Exhibition 2017. Themed “Research Beyond Boundaries”, the 2-day event (May 3-4) will be held at QU Research Complex. It will feature the distribution of four categories of awards — Research Excellence Award, Graduate Studies Awards, Poster Awards, and Visualization Challenge.
QU Vice-President for Research and Graduate Studies Prof Mariam Al-Maadeed said: “The forum aims to bring together key stakeholders across industry, academia, and government to discuss the University’s research enterprise, illustrate new tools, new programmes, collaborations, innovations and other relevant projects that are in alignment with the QU Research Roadmap 2014-2019, Qatar National Research Strategy, and Qatar National Vision 2030.”
Consultant at QU Research and Graduate Studies Office Dr Fadhil Sadooni, said: “The forum has been instituted to promote research projects and efforts at QU, explore funding opportunities, and highlight the potentials and viability of graduate studies programsme.”
