Doha: Under the patronage of Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Qatar will celebrate the tenth edition of the Education Excellence Day today.
Organised by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the ceremony will award excellent students from Qatar in eight different categories confirming the leadership's belief in the culture of innovation and excellence in the community.
It also proves the students' eagerness to achieve the highest standards in partnership with the institution to reach global levels in order to improve the output of the educational process.
The award aims to implement quality programs, deepen the idea of excellence and innovation by adapting global standards, and encourage Qatar's students to become achievers of excellence and strengthen the positive approach towards the knowledge and scientific research, in competitive platform.
The award's categories cover all educational stages from primary level until Doctorate level, in addition to awarding teachers and scientific research.
The board of trustees selected a total of 46 winners out of 262 candidates.
