The Amir, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, received a phone call on Sunday from the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Ebrahim Raisi.
During the call, the Iranian President congratulated His Highness the Amir on the occasion of the launch of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, praising His Highness for the good organization and wishing success to the participating teams in the tournament.
They also reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries and aspects of their development and support in various fields of cooperation, in addition to discussing the most prominent issues of common interest.
