Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) has distributed winter necessitie at a cost of QR500,000 to Syrian refugees in Jordon. The aid includes room heater, blankets and coupons to buy winter cloths and basic food items.

The project was financed by people in Qatar as donation. Some 300 Syrian families residing in Amman, Al Zarqa and other governorates benefitted from the project.

The project targeted Syrian families living outside refugee camps because they were having tough time due to high rent and other soaring living cost. The beneficiary families received winter necessities. A family got a room heater powered with gas or kerosene or electricity, two blankets, coupons for buying winter clothes for five members, and basic food items enough for a family for a month.

The project implemented before the winter mercy campaign launched by RAF last month to collect about QR20m to provide aid to 120,000 Syrian and Iraqi internally displaced people and refugees sheltering neighboring countries.
