Doha: The Minister of Environment H E Ahmed bin Amer Mohamed Al Humaidi will launch the 10th National Cleanliness Campaign on Saturday.
The campaign, which will focus on cleaning beaches and islands, will last two months in a step to improve the spirit of volunteer work, particularly in the field of protecting the environment.
A number of state institutions and ministries will participate in the campaign, in addition to students from universities. The Ministry already set up a committee to plan and monitor the campaign.
The committee includes representatives from different ministries such as Ministry of Interior, Defence, Municipality and Urban Planning, Supreme Education Council and Qatar Petroleum.
