Doha, Qatar: The Public Prosecution, represented by the Criminal Studies Institute, received a delegation of officer candidates from Ahmed bin Mohammed Military College as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation between judicial and military institutions and enhance legal knowledge.

The visit programme, which was part of the candidates’ practical training, began with an introductory meeting in the institute’s lecture hall. During the meeting, the candidates were briefed on the organisational structure of the Public Prosecution, the nature of its work and its pivotal role in the country’s judicial system. They were also introduced to the key laws and procedures governing the Public Prosecution’s work in upholding justice.

The visit also included a field tour of several partial prosecution offices, where the candidates learned about the daily operations of the prosecution offices. They observed firsthand the procedures for receiving and examining reports, preparing investigation records, and referring case files to the competent courts.

The programme also included a visit to the Public Prosecution Library, an important reference for researchers and legal specialists in the country. The candidates explored its collection of legal references, periodicals and specialised books in criminal law.

The visit concluded with both sides emphasising the importance of continuing such training programmes, which serve as a vital bridge between academic studies and practical experience.

The candidates expressed their appreciation for the valuable opportunity to gain firsthand insight into legal work, praising the Public Prosecution’s efforts to train and develop young legal professionals and enhance their readiness to serve the nation.

The Public Prosecution welcomes similar visits by universities and colleges to promote legal awareness and strengthen cooperation with academic institutions.
