Phnom Penh: Cambodia on Wednesday dispatched its 12th batch of 184 peacekeepers to join the United Nations peacekeeping mission in the war-torn Central African Republic.

Speaking at a ceremony in Phnom Penh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Tea Seiha said the blue helmets from Engineering Unit 864 will replace the 11th group, which recently completed a one-year deployment.

He said that participating in UN peacekeeping operations has elevated Cambodia's international prestige and reflects its commitment to global peace, security, stability, and sustainable development.
