Geneva: The 17th Arab League-UN General Cooperation Meeting convened in Geneva on Monday, with top-echelon officials and representatives of institutions and specialized agencies from both sides participating.
The three-day meeting will discuss ways to boost cooperation in various fields of shared interest, foremost among which are peace and security, sustainable development, human rights, and food and water security.
The gathering will also delve into the agendas of Women, Peace and Security, Youth, Peace and Security, alongside efforts to prevent armed conflicts.
Participants are set to discuss avenues for building on the outcomes of the 16th meeting between the two sides and take stock of the progress made in implementing joint areas of action.
They will likewise address wide-ranging priority regional issues, foremost among which are the Palestinian cause and evolving dynamics in Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, and Libya.
