DOHA: The Sheikh Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani Primary Healthcare Center, established by the Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation in Jordan’s Azraq Camp, continued to provide healthcare services during the second quarter of 2026, recording positive performance indicators in terms of developing medical services and improving operational efficiency.
According to the center’s data, a total of 11,890 medical consultations were provided, compared with 11,646 consultations in the first quarter of the year. These included 5,477 consultations for women, 4,818 for children, and 1,595 for men.
The General Medicine Clinic accounted for the largest share of total consultations, with 3,442 consultations, followed by the Pediatrics Clinic with 3,086 consultations, and the Dental Clinic with 2,176 consultations.
The Emergency Clinic recorded 1,204 consultations, while the Women’s Clinic provided 1,098 consultations, in addition to external referral services, vaccinations, and family planning services.
During the second quarter, the center implemented a number of development measures, including the reorganization of medical services, which helped improve patient reception and the distribution of duties among departments. A specialized room was also equipped for laboratory sample collection, while nursing staff received training on applying professional standards for handling samples.
As part of efforts to improve service efficiency, the center continued implementing an electronic prescription system linked to the pharmacy. This helped accelerate the dispensing of medications, improve the accuracy of prescription documentation, and reduce reliance on paper-based procedures.
Medical and technical services were also enhanced during the quarter, including the provision of a modern root canal treatment device for the Dental Clinic, as well as the strengthening of maternal and child health, vaccination and nutrition services, while maintaining the readiness of emergency services.
Alongside medical supplies, the center strengthened the management of medicines and medical supplies by ensuring the availability of medications, improving inventory management and applying proper storage standards. These measures contribute to reducing waste and ensuring continuity of healthcare services.
The results recorded during the second quarter of 2026 reflect the continued efforts of the Sheikh Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani Primary Healthcare Center to enhance the quality of healthcare in Azraq Camp by developing services, improving operational efficiency and expanding residents’ access to the medical services provided.
