DOHA: The General Administration of Coasts & Borders Security has urged the crew of all vessels of all types and sizes to abide by its rules.
The crew must produce their identification documents and the vessel’s documents and permits at registration centres in Doha, Al Safliya, Al Aaliya, Al Wakra, Al Khor and Al Ruwais.
All marine vessels shall have all necessary maritime communication sets and safety equipment (jackets, life rafts, lifebuoys, boats and others) for the number of passengers and the crew on board.
They shall observe the sea borders (maritime sea line) between the State of Qatar and neighbouring countries and shall not across or approach the same. They must preserve the maritime environment and avoid causing any type of maritime pollution, the Ministry of Interior said on its Facebook account. Marine vessels shall not approach restricted areas, or oil and gas fields and platforms and shall have the maritime positioning systems and rule of the road (ROR) systems.
