Prime Minister holds phone call with Saudi Foreign Minister

Doha, Qatar: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held a phone call with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia HH Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud.

During the call, they discussed bilateral cooperation relations and ways to support and strengthen them, in addition to exchanging views on the latest regional developments, particularly diplomatic efforts to enhance security and stability in the region following the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

 

HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized, during the call, the necessity of sparing the region the repercussions of the unjustified attacks, ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, continuing on the path of dialogue and diplomacy, de-escalation, and building on the gains achieved within the framework of the memorandum of understanding, to consolidate security and stability at the regional and international levels.

During the conversation, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed the State of Qatar's full support for the ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran to reach sustainable solutions to outstanding issues through dialogue and peaceful means, thereby strengthening regional security, opening new horizons for cooperation, development, and prosperity, and achieving the common interests of the peoples of the region and the world.
