Khartoum: The Darfur Regional Authority (DRA) yesterday said the Doha peace agreement has helped establish comprehensive peace in Darfur.
DRA’s Minister of Cabinet Affairs Youssef Al Tulaib said the biggest gain is the progress in terms of development, and cited the growth in trade and construction of airports in the region.
He told Sudanese Radio that the people of Darfur are embracing peace, which has weakened militant groups. He highlighted Qatar’s support to boost the peace process and said conditions in Darfur were full of violence, which have completely changed after the agreement. QNA
