Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia's labor force participation rate stood at 70.8 percent in 2025, with the unemployment rate falling to 3 percent from 3.3 percent in 2024, official data showed Thursday.
The Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) said in a statement on Thursday that the total number of jobs during the year stood at 9.21 million, with 9.02 million positions filled.
Looking ahead, the DOSM noted that artificial intelligence offers a key opportunity to strengthen Malaysia's labor market, drive innovation and enhance productivity.
