Doha: Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) organised the Family Fun Run in partnership with the Qatar Sports for All Federation, as part of the 12th edition of the Ramadan Sports Festival 2026, hosted at Aspire Park amid vibrant Ramadan-inspired community spirit.
The race was held from 9pm to 11pm, drawing wide participation from various segments of the community in a sporting atmosphere that reflected the spirit of the holy month and emphasized the importance of physical activity as a lifestyle.
The competitions were divided into 1km and 3km categories in a free event open to all through registration via the QSFA application. The races witnessed strong performances and sportsmanship before concluding with the awards ceremony for winners across different categories.
The award ceremony was attended by AZF Events Manager Idris Mohammed Al Shershni, Community Engagement Specialist at AZF Ghada Al Obaid, and Awad AlShammari, event coordinator at Qatar Sports for All Federation, reflecting strong organisational coordination and administrative support for the accompanying activities.
The Ramadan Sports Festival continues to reinforce its position as one of the state’s leading community events, combining sport and entertainment in a Ramadan atmosphere that promotes participation and social cohesion.
Beach volleyball competitions kick off today at 9pm on the sand court at Aspire Academy and will conclude on February 28.
The Women’s 3x3 Basketball Tournament, held at the Ladies Sports Hall on February 24–25, concluded with Team Al Gharafa 1 claiming first place, while Team Al Mohariboon finished second. Eman Jalali of Al Gharafa was awarded Best Player of the Tournament.
