DOHA: Qatar Charity’ despite all the difficulties and obstacles, managed to reach Ghouta and distributed emergency relief aid to the affected people, in an urgent response to alleviate the suffering of the eastern inhabitants of Ghouta, who are suffering from a suffocating siege and extremely difficult humanitarian conditions.

Qatar Charity is among the first humanitarian organizations to provide immediate assistance to support those affected inside Ghouta, at a cost of 2.2 million riyals, which benefited thousands of people so far.

Faisal Al Fahida, Executive Director of the QC’s Executive Management of International Operations, said that Qatar Charity’s emergency relief aid has been provided to the people of Al Ghouta, due to the suffering of more than 400,000 people for six years, which is recently worsened.

He added that the relief campaign for the people of Ghouta will continue, due to the worsening humanitarian situation because of the continuous air strikes killing civilians under the suffocating siege, which requires prompt attentions of the philanthropists in Qatar to support the families suffering from severe shortage of basic living needs.

He thanked those who donated to the QC’s Relief Campaign since the beginning of the crisis, to support affected people inside and outside Syria and he appealed to Qatari philanthropists and residents to continue to support the people of Ghouta and their families, who are facing unknown fate, due to the humanitarian conditions growing in complexity in these affected areas.
