A karate tournament was organised by Indian Cultural Center on February 22 at ICC, under the guidance of Sensei Ashraf, who has been teaching karate at ICC for 20 years. Around 60 students and five karate clubs participated in the event. The winners were felicitated by the Chief Guest Suman Sharma, second secretary of Indian Embassy. Tarun Basu, ICC president, K M Vargese, advisory chairman, and Managing Committee members of ICC presented prizes to the winners. ICC Club won the best club award. More than 20 students of ICC’s karate class won medals and trophies. Shiran Dhansingh from ICC won the best student trophy.
