HEC Paris in Qatar held an event to welcome its EMBA and Specialized Master Degree in Strategic Business Unit Management programme participants, as the Class of 2014. The launch for the two programmes, which will begin in February and March of this year, took place on the evening of February 19 at Sharq Village and Spa hotel.

Apart from the new cohorts, present on the night were alumni from the two previous EMBA classes, who spoke about their experiences with HEC Paris in Qatar, Jean-Christophe Peaucelle, Ambassador of France, Deans from other universities in Education City and representatives of the business community in Qatar.

This event served also as a great opportunity for HEC Paris alumni and staff in Qatar to wish farewell to its founding Academic Dean, Professor Antoine Hyafil and welcome on board the new Dean of HEC Paris in Qatar, Professor Laoucine Kerbache.

The Chief Operating Officer of HEC Paris in Qatar, Joshua Kobb, said: “This celebration marks new beginnings for us. Firstly, to welcome our newest EMBA class and launch the new Specialized Master programme, demonstrating the strength of HEC Paris in Qatar’s executive education activities. Secondly, to acknowledge the contribution of our founding Dean, Prof. Antoine Hyafil and wish him farewell on the occasion of his retirement, and of course to welcome our new Dean, Professor Laoucine Kerbache. Based on strong foundations, a new chapter begins for HEC Paris in Qatar.”
