Bazm-e-Urdu Qatar (BUQ) held its 54th annual Naatiya Mushaira (poetry recital event) at the central hall of Indian Friends Circle recently. Halqua Adab-e-Islami Riyadh president Abu Nabil Maseeh Deccani presided over the event while Dr Salim Khan, president of Halqua Adab-e-Islami Abu Dhabi, was the chief guest at the programme. Prominent UAE-based poets Aamir Aazmi and a poet from Riyadh, Tahir Bilal, were the honorary guests. The local poets who enthralled the audience with their creativity were Syed Afaque Akhtar, Athar Aazmi, Jamshed Ansari, Mansoor Aazmi, Iftekhar. Shafique Akhtar, Yusuf Kamal, Atique Anzar, Jaleel Nizami, Muhammad Mumtaz Rashed, Tahir Bilal, Aamir Aazmi and Abu Nabeel Maseeh Daccani.
