A large audience gathered at the premises of Bhavan’s Public School in Matar Al Qadeem to witness the kickoff of Focus Qatar Campaign on Health — “H4D -Health in four Dimensions”.
The conference urged the society to avoid deadly habits such as smoking, overeating, drug addition, stress, anger and other character flaws to keep the body and mind in healthy condition.
Dr Salah Abdulla Al Yafee, head of Health Education at Supreme Council of Health, inaugurated the campaign. He offered full cooperation from SCH for these kinds of noble deeds by Focus Qatar. Malabar Gold and Diamonds Regional Head Santhosh TV released the campaign booklet by giving to Abdulla Muhammed Ibrahim from Ooredoo. The booklet will be printed in three languages — Arabic, English and Malayalam.
Dr Jafar Ajanoor from Hamad Medical Corporation and Doha-based scholar Siraj Iritty spoke on the different dimensions of the health. A short skit on the theme was staged by Focus members. Focus Qatar CEO Muneer Ahmed presided over the function. QIIC General-Secretary Ali Chalikkara, Askar Rahiman, Imtiyas Ahmed, Dr Nishan Purayil, Thajuddeen Nallalam, Ashif Azees and Mahroof Arakkinar spoke on the occasion.
Focus Qatar has lined up a spectrum of activities including Free Medical Camps, Awareness Classes, Booklet distribution, Road shows at Malls and Labour accommodations and a grand closing ceremony at the Qatar Sports Club as part of the one month campaign. Ooredoo and Malabar Gold and Diamonds are the official sponsors of the campaign.
