Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA ) and Indian Sports Centre are jointly organising ‘Inter Community Beach Volleyball Festival’ on Janurary 11 and 12 at Al Gharafa Beach Volleyball Facility. It was announced in a ceremonial meeting with various expatriate community leaders held recently in QVA auditorium.
This festival is the first of its kind where more than 15 expatriate communities belonging from respective countries are expected to participate. The meeting was attended by President of the Indian Sports Centre, NilangshuDey; Head of Volleyball of Indian Sports Centre, Ashik Ahmed, Hussein Imam Ali, Roberto Reggiani, Mamdouh Wafy of Qatar Volleyball Association along with Community leaders of Malaysia, Russia, Pakistan, Sudan, Phillipines, Nepal, Srilanka and Bangladesh.
Nilangshu Dey expressed gratitude for being able to partner this prestigious multi community sports event, ‘Apparel Challengers Cup with QVA. The tournament will cater Team Championship consisting of four players in each team and any community can participate with any number of teams without restrictions in order to promote Beach Volleyball among expatriates.
Special attraction of the event would be ‘Fan Zone’ which will consist of various food stalls serving different cuisines and traditional stalls depicting various heritages. These stalls will be set up by various expatriates to exhibit their community culture in the festival. Further details can be had from 55854126 / 55451510.
