DOHA: A high level trade mission led by Krassinn Dimitrov, Deputy Minister of Economy and Energy of the Republic of Bulgaria, yesterday met with Qatar Chamber (QC) Vice Chairman Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Tawar Al Kuwari at the QC headquarters to explore investment opportunities between the two countries, said a statement yesterday.
The meeting discussed mutual trade relations between the two countries and ways of strengthening them.
Highlighting Qatar’s rapid growth, Dimitrov said that there is a renaissance taking place in all sectors of the economy and the aim of the visit is to push and promote cooperation between Qatari businessmen and their Bulgarian counterparts in all fields.
He also invited Qatari businessmen and Qatar Chamber to visit Bulgaria to explore business and investment opportunities there.
“Qatari businessmen can participate in a number of events that will be organised in January 2014, including an exhibition of lighting, civil defence and a technical fair,” he said.
The minister also briefed about the available investment projects in Bulgaria in several areas, including infrastructure and real estate, gas and clean energy and lighting materials, agricultural, food processing and shipping.
Al Kuwari noted about the chamber’s readiness to extend its support and cooperation with the business communities from both countries.
