Muscat: A delegation from the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC), represented by the Environmental Protection Reserves and Wildlife Department, paid an official visit to the Environment Authority of the Sultanate of Oman.
The delegation, which was headed by Assistant Undersecretary for Protection and Natural Reserves Affairs of MoECC Ibrahim Abdullatif Al Maslamani, met with Chairman of Environment Authority of Oman H E Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Al Amri and several Omani officials.
The Qatari delegation was briefed on the experience of the Omani Environment Authority, including the strategies and action plan concerning the environment and natural reserves, such as laws, legislations and systems pertaining to hunting, grazing, permissible practices in the natural reserves, surveillance procedures in the natural reserves, exploring the state-of-the-art methods utilised to conduct inventory surveying for fungal organisms.
