The students of Pakistan International School Qatar (PISQ) have excelled in the HSSC Part-I annual examination 2019, the results of which were announced recently by the Islamabad-based Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE).
PISQ has been showing remarkable progress towards academic excellence, especially in the board exams. This year, PISQ students have done their alma mater proud by securing top eleven positions among all the Pakistani schools in Qatar.
In the Commerce group, Said Ali stood first with 484 marks, Mariya Nasser Khan got second position with 468 marks while Saliha Nasser Khan achieved third position with 463 marks.

Eiman Amir Latif and Hamda Qadeer shared the first position by securing 457 marks each in the pre-medical group. Ruhmaa Shahid stood second whereas Muhammad Owais Raza, Eman Akhtar and Safa Saif shared the third position with 446 marks each in the group. In the pre-engineering group, Muhammad Zain Amjad, Maheen Malik and Ahmad Hassan secured first, second and third positions with 425, 422 and 397 marks respectively.
The school’s results grew better because of the change in teaching strategy and methodology. Out of 150 students, 132 remained successful marking 88% pass ratio with 22 A1 and 31 A grades.
Nargis Raza Otho, Principal of PISQ, congratulated students, parents and teachers. Besides appreciating the teachers, she emphasised precisely on the need to help students to be more creative and responsible citizens. She reiterated that PISQ is progressing in academics gradually and clearly and in the days to come it would stand tall among its competitors in Qatar.
Syed Ahsan Raza Shah, Ambassador of Pakistan, also expressed his joy and pleasure on the achievements of the students and urged them to take education as the only key for them to unlock the fortunes of tomorrow to become successful and dignified citizens of Pakistan. He congratulated the teachers, parents and school management on the excellent results of the school.
