Doha, Qatar: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, received a phone call from HH Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al-Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the call, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them, and discussed the latest regional developments, particularly the diplomatic efforts undertaken and the joint coordination to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region.
The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed, during the call, the necessity for all parties to commit to dialogue and diplomacy, and to implement what was agreed upon within the framework of the memorandum of understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, including ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, to preserve the security of the region, safeguard the gains achieved, and enhance regional stability.
His Excellency renewed the State of Qatar's full support for all endeavors aimed at defusing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that achieves lasting peace in the region.
