Doha: Over 6,000 Syrian children have benefited from infant formula milk provided by Qatar Charity (QC) in the besieged Aleppo within its urgent campaign for relief operations in the city.
In a statement yesterday, QC said the project was within the framework of its continued relief efforts for residents of Aleppo, suffering due to the siege and humanitarian conditions. QC said it had provided 12,300 packs of milk, benefiting 6150 children for a month.
The QR284,830 project implemented in cooperation with Turkish IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation aimed at providing milk for children and help mothers secure basic food for their children in the besieged areas.
It has allocated a QR10m emergency aid to meet the immediate needs of the city’s population, reports QNA.
