Doha: The eighth season of Telangana Premier League cricket tournament concluded at APL grounds during Eid holidays.
In the grand final Team Veera Telangana emerged victorious by defeating QNTO and won the title. The prize distribution ceremony was held at Al Thumma Ground.
Saigiri Vamsi, General Secretary of Telangana Gulf Samithi (TGS), said the tournament which was supported by APL and Mahender, TGS sport in-charge, and Sanju Thomas, TGS PRO, TGS MC team members and other supporters saw an active participation from the worker class community.
The presentation ceremony was attended by chief guest ICBF President Shanavas Bava, Community Leader Sri K Prasad Garu, ICBF Vice President Deepak Shetty, ISC committee member Sri C Deepak, Telugu Kala Samithi Elected President Sri D Harish Reddy Garu, ICBF committee member Shankar Goud, and Telugu Sports Association Vice President Syed Rafiq,
TGS is an affiliated organisation of Apex Body Indian community Benevolent Forum under aegis of Indian Embassy Qatar and TGS works for mainly welfare of blue-collar workers.
Telangana Premier League is an annual cricket event and they are conducting it with specific objective of providing blue-collar workers some quality time for refreshing away from routine hard work they undertake to earn their livelihood.
