Hong Kong: Hong Kong equities rose for a fifth successive day Wednesday, tracking a global rally, as traders await the release of President Donald Trump's tax reform plan.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.50 percent, or 122.49 points, to 24,578.43.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index climbed 0.20 percent, or 6.28 points, to 3,140.85 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, added 0.37 percent, or 6.93 points, to 1,889.79.
