Airline Operators Committee — comprising all the airlines operating into Hamad International Airport congratulated HIA at a meeting on Wednesday, for being ranked the Sixth Best Airport in the World by the 2017 Skytrax World Airport Awards, moving up four places from last year.
As a token of appreciation, AOC executive members presented a bouquet of flowers to Ioannis Metsovitis VP - Operations - HIA and commended the excellent planning and efforts taken by the management and staff of HIA. AOC thanked all the stake holders at the airport and underscored that it was a remarkable achievement given the few years' time within which the Hamad International Airport has risen to this status and recognition.
