Qatar Chemical Company Ltd (Q-Chem) has announced its golden sponsorship for the ceremony to honour blood donors for the year 2014. The ceremony is organised annually by Hamad Medical Corporation, Blood Donation Center, on the occasion of the International Day for Blood Donation, which is marked on June 12 every year.
“This is a good opportunity to honor blood donors, as we at Q-Chem are committed to support these efforts within our CSR (corporate social responsibility) programme,” said Ahmed Ibrahim Al Emadi, General Manager of Q-Chem. “We are not only supporting the blood donation center with money, but also supporting them with blood as we organise every year a ‘blood donation day’ at our premises to encourage staff to donate blood.” said Al Emadi.
During the ‘World Blood Donor Day’, the blood centre honours around 300 donors every year from companies and individuals in order to create awareness in the society about the importance of donating blood and its role in saving lives.The Peninsula
