MES Indian School pupil Emad Thakur was honoured as the best delegate in the model Security Council in the 9th Annual Georgetown University Model UN conference held at Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) recently. As many as 400 student delegates around the globe attended the Annual Georgetown Model UN conference. MES delegation consisted of Emad Thakur, Razim Ahamed Sayed P T, K Lakshminarayan, Antony Babu, Anushka Mohapatra and Reethika Kanchan. The student delegates discussed and debated on the topics such as situation in Syria, standards for intervention, LGBT Rights, implications of humanitarian aid, global migration, Shia movements in the Middle East, women in politics and immigration and economic crisis in the European Union (EU). Principal, Sasidharan A P, appreciated the MES delegation for their outstanding achievement in the model Security Council of GMUN.
