•     Some parents who have asthmatic children at a private school expressed disappointment when the administration asked them not to send their kids to the school for two days after suspecting swine flu infection. Parents said such an alert should be for all children as diseases do not differentiate between asthmatic and other people.
•     There was talk on social media about the statement issued by the undersecretary at the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, in which he said the ministry is no longer responsible for the employment of Qataris in the government sector and that the Ministry of Development Planning is responsible for it following the restructuring of ministries and departments. The ministry’s role in Qatarisation will limit to employment of citizens in the private sector. 
•     There was talk about the announcement by the Supreme Health Council that prices of medicines for cardiovascular and endocrine diseases will be fixed in line with a GCC plan to ensure uniformity in prices in the member counties. The move is likely to cause a drop in prices in Qatar.
•     Many people demanded that the Traffic Department apply the radar and monitoring camera system on all roads to avoid continuous violations by some motorists, particularly when taking over from the right side. They said the department should also conduct campaigns, especially on February 22 Road where many accidents take place because of violations.
•     There was talk about the Qatari project to establish a zoo with international standards in Al Wab. It  will include a seven-star hotel in Safari area and is expected to be completed by 2020. 
•     There was talk on Twitter about the MPHC shares whose prices shot up by 450 percent after listing on Qatar Stock Exchange.
