Ashghal wins Ministries and Authorities Padel Championship

Doha, Qatar: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) team was crowned with the title of the Ministries and Authorities Padel Championship, which was organised by the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau in cooperation with the Qatar Sports For All Federation.

The competitions were held at Al Sadd stadiums, after a journey full of strong matches and fierce competition.

Eng. Ahmad Abdulla Al-Baker, from the Drainage Network Operation & Maintenance Department, and Eng. Khalid Ibrahim Janahi, from the Buildings Projects Department, succeeded in winning first place after an exciting final match against the Civil Aviation Authority team in which Ashghal team won 6-3, 7-6, 10-6.

For his part, Abdulla Saad Al Saad, Manager of the Public Relations & Communications Department at Ashghal, congratulated H E Eng. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Meer, President of the Public Works Authority, on the occasion of the Authority’s team winning the first edition of the Ministries and Authorities Padel Championship, expressing his deep appreciation for the continuous support provided by the President to sports and community activities within the Authority, which had a great impact in achieving this victory and the great representation of Ashghal in the championship.

Al Saad also thanked the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, the Ministry of Sports and Youth, and the Qatar Sports For All Federation for organizing this distinguished tournament, stressing that the tournament was a successful and fruitful experience that contributed to enhancing rapport and communication between employees of various government entities and institutions, calling for the continuation of such sports initiatives and not limiting them to padel only, as it has a positive impact on the work environment and team spirit.
