DOHA: KPMG in Qatar announced the appointment of Issa Habash (pictured) as a risk consulting partner.
He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). He holds a Master of Accountancy from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Bethlehem University.
Habash joined from PwC Toronto, Canada, where he was a partner in the risk and controls practice. He has over 15 years of risk, controls and internal audit consulting experience — 13 of which were spent working for PwC in both the US and Canada.
Jamal Fakhro, KPMG in Qatar’s Managing Partner, said: “Issa brings with him a wealth of experience in the global risk, controls and internal audit consulting field and will help to further strengthen our practice here in Qatar.”
Habash said: “I am looking forward to a new challenge here at KPMG in Qatar. These are challenging times for companies as they are dealing with a wide variety of complex new regulations and procedures which often need to be implemented quickly.”
