DOHA: Ideal Indian School celebrated the 73rd anniversary of the United Nations yesterday in the school premises promoting the theme ‘stand with refugees’.
The Department of Social Sciences organized an event highlighting the need for world peace and the role of the UN in achieving it. The celebrations began with the singing of the UN anthem. A mock UNSC session was held by the students, where five permanent and ten non- permanent members discussed the Libyan crisis at length. The way the students enacted their respective roles was astounding.
The programme included a PPT on the refugee crisis and a documentary on human rights.
