Doha: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) will implement a temporary traffic diversion on Civil Defence Roundabout from tomorrow morning until Sunday morning, in coordination with the Traffic Police Department.
For motorists coming from Mohammed Bin Thani Street, the left lane leading to Onaiza Street will be closed while the other two lanes will remain open to traffic.
For those coming from Medical City Intersection, the left lane leading to Khalifa Intersection will be closed while the other two lanes will remain open.
Motorists coming from Khalifa Intersection can only turn right onto Medical City Intersection and those coming from Onaiza Street can only turn right onto Mohammed Bin Thani Street as shown in the map.
The diversion aims at completing works to convert Civil Defence Roundabout into a signalised intersection as part of the fifth phase of the Development of Intersection and Roundabouts project across greater Doha. The project aims at enhancing traffic and reduce congestion in major areas.
Ashghal will install signs to advise motorists of the works and has urged road users to abide by speed limits and follow signs for their and others’ safety.
