Hong Kong---Stocks in Hong Kong fell 0.31 percent in the morning session Thursday, dragged down by fears about the fallout from the Greece debt crisis after last-minute talks fell apart in Brussels.
The Hang Seng Index slipped 83.89 points to 27,321.08 on turnover of HK$61.64 billion (US$7.95 billion).
But in mainland China the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.43 percent, or 20.38 points, to 4,710.53.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, added 0.24 percent, or 6.72 points, to 2,829.45.
