The Cuban group, ‘Salsa Y Punto’, performs at the Cultural Diversity Festival at Katara.

DOHA: A folkloric performance by the Cuban group ‘Salsa Y Punto’ enthraled the audience at the Cultural Diversity Festival organised by Katara, in cooperation with the Unesco office in Doha.
The band delivered performances that mirrored Cuban culture, including Salsa, Latin Jaz, Merengue, Cha Cha, and traditional Bachata.
‘Salsa Y Punto’ is a unique international band comprising top performers from Cuba and Serbia that produce a mixture of authentic Latin rhythms and sounds. The group, which brings together experienced musicians, and with its original mix of rhythms, has gained popularity with audiences in the Southeastern Europe. The band performed at exclusive events, festivals and concerts in various parts of the world.
The festival will see Japanese folkloric performance today, followed by the Argentinian folkloric performance on May 30 at Katara Esplanade.
