Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) has launched the “Iftar for fasters” project for Ramadan 1447 AH, featuring qualitative expansion and full digitalization.

The announcement was made during a press conference held at the General Department of Awqaf on Sunday, 25 January 2026, attended by senior officials and members of the project committee.

The initiative is implemented under the Waqf Fund for Righteousness and Piety and reflects a comprehensive plan covering expanded sites, increased capacity, enhanced monitoring mechanisms, stronger community partnerships, and end-to-end digital management.

The project, one of the Ministry’s flagship charitable and community initiatives during Ramadan, aims to promote social solidarity and compassion, fulfill donors’ endowment conditions, and provide dignified humanitarian support to workers and those in need.

This year, the number of iftar tent locations has increased to nine sites across high-density residential and labor areas, with a total capacity exceeding 360,000 meals throughout the holy month.

Authorities confirmed that the meals meet approved health and nutritional standards to ensure safe, balanced, and organized service for fasting individuals.
