Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) is participating as a strategic partner in the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE 12), which is being held at the Qatar National Convention Centre on November 24 and 25.
The participation comes under the theme “People First: Human Values at the Heart of Education Systems,” and will be attended by a select group of policymakers and experts from around the world, reflecting Qatar’s pivotal role in supporting international dialogue on the future of education.
Minister of Education and Higher Education, H E Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater is scheduled to participate in the opening session of the Summit, delivering an official address highlighting the role of innovation and human values in building an education system capable of keeping pace with global changes, in line with the summit’s priorities and themes.
The Ministry is also organizing three specialized sessions within the summit program, focusing on the priorities of the education sector in the country. The first session will address the future of Arabic language education in the age of artificial intelligence and the potential for transforming it into a field that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and cultural identity, in accordance with efforts to develop curricula and build a more flexible and efficient education system.
The second session will discuss linking education to labor market needs while preserving human values. It will also review models for integrating life skills, innovation, and entrepreneurship into curricula, thereby enhancing learners’ future readiness and supporting the national economy.
The third session, held in collaboration with the Global Education Monitoring Report, the UNESCO Regional Office, and the Qatari National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, will review the key findings of the Education Monitoring Report 2024-2025 regarding the role of effective leadership in improving learning outcomes. It will highlight the Qatari experience as a pioneering model for leading change and developing the education system.
