Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Dr Mohammed Abdul Wahed Al Hammadi issued a decision forming a committee for recruiting staff in administrative positions in Independent Schools.
The committee will be chaired by the head of the Department of School Affairs and Director of Human Resource Department will be the vice-chairman.
Members will include head of employment section, head of the Department of Employees Affairs, head of Department of Teacher’s Affairs and an expert on Human Resources who will be assigned by the Minister himself.
Among the mandates given to the committee is to find out the number of vacant administrative positions in the schools, and set up an employment plan every academic year.
The plan need to be approved by the Minister of Education and Higher Education.
The committee which will meet twice a month, is authorised to consider redistribution and transfer of administrative employees in the schools in line with organisational structures and the approved plan.
The committee has also been authorised to form subcommittees to conduct specific tasks like field studies or assessments.
The committee will directly report to the Minister and offer him suggestions and recommendations.
