Fires continue in several Israeli areas

Occupied Jerusalem: For the third straight day, Israeli firefighting teams are working to contain and extinguish fires broke out in several parts of the 1948 occupied territories of Palestine.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called for foreign assistance to help douse the flames which caused mass evacuations of dozens of families from their homes.

There were no injuries so far as a result of these fires, but many houses were seriously damaged, as flames devoured thousands of acres.

According to Israeli media, firefighters teams are battling fires broke out in several areas, including Jerusalem, Nahariya, Ma'alot and Galilee.

Meanwhile, Israeli Security Minister Gilad Erdan and Inspector General of Israeli Police Rooney Sheikh decided to deploy police forces and border guards in some open areas in Palestine 48.

Investigations have been opened to determine if fires were triggered by weather conditions or foul play.
