Mövenpick Tower & Suites Doha recently hosted the Qatar Green Building Council’s (QGBC) seminar titled ‘Healthy Buildings for Healthy People’, to discuss the health effects of poor indoor air quality.
At the event, held earlier this month, QGBC launched a new group called the Healthy Building Interest Group (HBIG) as part of its ongoing efforts to engage stakeholders and raise awareness about the importance of living and working in healthy indoor environments.
The group’s aim is to achieve a more sustainable future, in keeping with Qatar National Vision 2030, by evaluating standards and holding workshops with local and international green building specialists.
“We are honoured to have hosted this event to support sustainability and to raise awareness about the cause,” commented Mövenpick Tower & Suites General Manager Ghada Sadek.
“Our ongoing collaboration with the Qatar Green Building Council has proved successful over time and we look forward to continuing this productive relationship and for positive results.”
