Al Waab Fuel Station reopens

Al Waab Fuel Station, near Al Waab signal, has been reopened for public service. It’s a new venture of Sun Group International, a player in fuel trading, shipping, onshore and offshore bunkering activities in Middle East. Al Waab Fuel Station has been renovated and shall cater to the fuel, oil, tire and car cleaning requirements of customers. The station also has fast food outlets, a supermarket and a cafeteria and offers a car rental service.

Speaking to reporters, Sundar Menon, CMD of Sun Group International, said it had been his dream to run a fuel station like Al Waab and that customers could expect good service at the station. The station will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so that “no one returns home without his needs served”.

Sun Group consists of Sun Energy, a Hydrocarbon Trading arm in the UAE, Sun Marine Fuels International, with a fleet of vessels to facilitate offshore bunkering, and Sun Group, which has a real estate business in India. Sun (India) Homes and Developers Pvt Ltd is yet another real estate venture apart from a charitable trust that caters to the needs of poor and downtrodden sections of society.

Sanjay Sundar, director of Sun Group, revealed that the group had expansion plans with new projects in the pipeline in Kuwait, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. The group has more than 1,000 employees in the Gulf countries and in India.
