Amir receives Prime Minister of Pakistan

Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, received on Tuesday at his office at Lusail Palace Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan HE Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, who is currently visiting the country.

During the meeting, they reviewed cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and further develop them across various fields, particularly in defence, economy, trade, investment, and energy, in a manner that strengthens the existing partnership and opens broader prospects for joint cooperation.

They also exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest, foremost among them the latest regional and international developments and efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability in the region.

Both sides stressed the importance of continuing coordination and consultation on various issues in a way that supports peace and promotes constructive cooperation at both the bilateral and international levels.

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs HE Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi and a number of senior officials.

On Pakistan's side, the meeting was attended by HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, along with a number of senior officials.
