Joint Rain Emergency Committee concludes field operations

Doha, Qatar: The Joint Rain Emergency Committee at the Ministry of Municipality has successfully concluded its field operations, demonstrating a high level of efficiency and preparedness in managing the recent rainfall across the State of Qatar.

The committee acted swiftly and effectively in addressing rainwater accumulation in various areas of the country, ensuring that all reported cases were handled without delay. This rapid response played a key role in enhancing road safety, reducing potential risks to motorists and pedestrians, and maintaining smooth traffic flow during and after the rainfall. According to the operational summary, the joint efforts resulted in the execution of 26,702 field interventions, supported by 382 pieces of equipment and machinery and carried out by 779 employees and workers.

In addition, the Unified Call Centre received and processed 2,187 reports, all of which were addressed promptly. A total of 157.6 million gallons of rainwater were successfully removed .
