Doha: The Civil Service and Government Development Bureau (CSGDB), represented by the Public Administration Institute, organised the financial audit programme in cooperation with the Community Service and Continuing Education Centre (CCE) at Qatar University.
The three-week programme aimed to enable female employees working in internal audit departments in a number of government agencies to apply the basic principles of the internal audit process in government agencies in accordance with the environment, practical experience, and relevant legislation in force in Qatar.
The training axes focused on auditing and evaluating internal financial control systems according to laws and instructions from the competent authorities, assessing the adequacy of documents and records, as well as evaluating the certification and accreditation authorities of government agencies, and evaluating the principle of separation of financial authorities in government departments, and the principle of independence in the impartial professional opinion of the auditor, an audit of detailed operations, an audit of the general budget, and an audit of government salaries and wages.
