Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development has managed to ensure participation of 3,589 people in workshops and training programmes held throughout the year. The workshops and training programmes were conducted by more than 20 Qatari and non-Qatari trainers, shows data released by the Center on its official website.
The centre is open to Qataris and non-Qataris living in the country and every month organises workshops, training programmes and continues consultations for parents, students, and entrepreneurs, said an official yesterday.
On the occasion of its fifth anniversary in December, the centre will organise a career fair in collaboration with Qatar University and another fair for entrepreneurs in cooperation with the College of the North Atlantic Qatar, added the official. According to data released by the centre, the career development programme received a total of 12,989 students from nine universities and 38 secondary schools in Qatar.
The centre based in the Cultural Village Foundation –Katara provides training and consultation in cooperation with more than 25 partners like Silatech, QF, Qatar Development Bank, QChem and others.
The centre helps students to identify career options as well as fresh graduates looking to start a flourishing career and parents struggling to ensure better career prospects for their sons or daughters.
The centre has also conducted a total of 168 hours of consultation about small and medium projects along supported 251 start-ups projects from the idea stage to implementation.
Among the services provided by the centre is the job shadowing programme which allows students to observe the actual work environment and it has benefited 323 students. The career guidance system “Tamheed” as one of the major partners of Bedaya has selected a total of 5,075 students who conducted the tests to be informed about the career choices.
The centre has also managed to graduate eight Qatari life Coaches who got international certificates.
