DOHA: Masraf Al Rayan, a leading bank in Qatar, will sponsor the Euromoney Qatar Conference 2014 to be held at Ritz-Carlton Hotel on November 24 and 25. The event is organised by Euromoney Global.
The conference will be held under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani. Finance Minister H E Ali Shareif Al Emadi, Qatar Central Bank Governor H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Saud Al Thani, a number of regional and international central bank governors and global economy experts representing various economic bodies will be present.
The conference agenda includes issues of domestic economy amid global economic crisis, the benefits and incentives offered by Qatar to increase growth opportunities and increase local incomes, plans and infrastructure projects in Qatar including 2022World Cup projects, investment in key sectors, foreign investment and expansion plans during the coming years.
Adel Mustafawi, the Group Chief Executive Officer at Masraf Al Rayan, confirmed Masraf Al Rayan frequent participation in view of the importance of the conference and the immense opportunities available to local, regional and global investments operating in the Qatari market.
Masraf Al Rayan is one of the high ranking performing banks in Qatar and the region. The bank has maintained strong growth rates over the years and recently announced its 9-month financials for the period ended September 30, 2014. The bank’s net profit amounted to QR1.426bn, an increase of 14.1 percent compared to the same period of 2013.
