Doha, Qatar: Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Ambassador Faisal bin Abdullah Al Hanzab met separately yesterday with Director of Counterterrorism Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt H E Amr El Hamamy; Director of Counter-Terrorism Department in the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office H E Alastair Totty, and Director of Policy and Coordination at the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism H E Eihab Omaish, on the sidelines of the 25th Coordinating Committee of the Global Counterterrorism Forum (GCTF), currently underway in Doha.
The discussions focused on enhancing joint cooperation in combating terrorism and violent extremism, as well as strategies for developing and sustaining the Global Counterterrorism Forum.
